In the final round of the championship, Personal Time played against Reggio Emilia, a team currently dominating the White Group of Serie A3: “What leaves a bitter taste in our mouths,” commented coach Rigamonti, “is the first set, where we were playing point-for-point and there were moments of misunderstanding and a few too many errors. This allowed Reggio Emilia to quickly climb the scoreboard and win it comfortably. In the second set, Personal Time was immediately aggressive, and the boys practically controlled the game.”
The difference and potential between the two teams became evident in the third and fourth sets: “Our serving phase wasn’t decidedly positive, and this changed the tactical match plan we had prepared. We had studied them differently; there were some blunders and errors after prolonged rallies and strong defenses. Against strong teams like Reggio Emilia, you have to give it your all, and we could have brought home something more. Now, let’s focus on the next match against Cus Cagliari.” Personal Time will be on the field on Saturday 21 February at 8.30 pm.
