Domotek Volley, Innocenzi energizes the team for the final: “Belluno is very tough, but we’re ready to fight point for point. And about the crowd: I dream of a sold-out crowd.”
Reggio Calabria – The decisive match of the championship is approaching, and the tension is already palpable within the walls of the PalaCalafiore. On Sunday at 7:00 PM, Domotek Volley will take to the court for the final against Belluno, and middle blocker Andrea Innocenzi introduced the match on the eve of the season-ending match.
Let’s start with the question all fans are asking: what kind of game will it be? “I expect a very, very difficult, hard-fought match,” explained Innocenzi. “Belluno has proven to be a very strong, very complete team. Not that this additional test was needed, but they’ve given further confirmation of their strength. I expect a match where we’ll have to fight point for point; every single point will be a battle.”
The long season is taking its toll, but Innocenzi isn’t looking for excuses. “Well, the end-of-season fatigue is starting to show. But we need to work and rest the right way: work, rest, work. We’ll be ready on Sunday.”
The enthusiasm in Reggio Calabria is sky-high, and the center-back can only confirm it. “The talk of the city is all. People stop me in the street, everywhere: ‘We’re here on Sunday, we’re coming,’ they tell me. Everyone’s informed, everyone’s eager to be there. I really expect a huge, huge crowd. A sellout would be fantastic. I know it’s difficult, but I believe it.”
Innocenzi, accustomed to other venues, has been won over by the warmth of Reggio. “I’ve never received so much affection in my career, especially since it’s the first time I’ve been in the South. I truly wasn’t expecting this warmth. I want to thank everyone, from the bottom of my heart.”
