A historic achievement for the Pontine club, which will face Conad Reggio Emilia in the semifinals of the Del Monte Coppa Italia Serie A3 Final Four on Saturday, March 7th at 4:00 PM at the VHV Arena in Belluno. If they win, they will move on to the final on Sunday, March 8th against the winner of the other match between Domotek Reggio Calabria and Belluno Volley. This is Viridex Sabaudia’s first appearance in the competition, having secured their quarterfinal victory away to Castellana Grotte, a result that allowed them to eliminate the team that had finished first in the first half of the season.

“We are very proud to have achieved this goal, and now we must live it to the fullest,” explains Stefano Beltrame, coach of Viridex Sabaudia. “We know it’s a tough road ahead, and we’ll face top-level opponents. However, as usual, when we’ve faced top-level teams, we’ve never held back and played good volleyball ourselves.”

The matchup between Conad Reggio Emilia and Viridex Sabaudia will be unprecedented: the two teams have never faced each other before. The Emilian team enters the Final Four strong after finishing first in the White Group and enjoying a very solid season that has already secured a spot in the promotion playoff. Sabaudia, on the other hand, enters the competition having built its growth path step by step, deservingly earning a spot among the top four in the competition. “We’ll definitely face the top team in the other group, which is a very well-built team, with experience and quality,” Beltrame continues, “but we’ll give them a run for their money and try to reach the final as well. We’ve been working hard these days, and we’ve found a decent rhythm in recent weeks, so that’s definitely a positive thing. We’re happy for ourselves, for the club, and for our entire team, so we need to enjoy this Final Four and give it our all.”
