The setter is the most crucial position in volleyball: a single player who impacts the game, especially in the side-out phase, even more than the point guard in basketball or the setter in soccer. Throughout its history, Allianz Powervolley Milano has counted on some of the best hands and minds in world volleyball, from Riccardo Sbertoli to Paolo Porro, all the way up to Fernando Kreling last season. Even in the new era, with coach Guillermo Falasca on the bench and Robertlandy Simon at center, president Lucio Fusaro and general manager Fabio Lini have entrusted the setter role to two outstanding professionals. Today we introduce the first, a player who has written important chapters in the history of the SuperLega over the last twenty years: Santiago Orduna.
