HERE TRENTINO ITAS The Italian champions are back playing a Champions League home match three weeks after their last match (January 18, against Ankara), aiming for another positive result to secure qualification for the quarterfinals, an intermediate goal they have achieved in their last eight appearances in the competition and have already achieved on twelve occasions overall.
“We’re playing everything in this return leg, knowing that the first-leg result was important but not enough to guarantee us the qualification we want at all costs,” coach Marcelo Mendez explained during his presentation. “We put in a good performance in Warsaw, and we’ll have to confirm that on Wednesday evening in front of our home crowd. Despite this busy schedule, I’m convinced my team can play another good match and secure qualification to continue our European campaign; we’re improving compared to the recent past, and all of this gives me confidence.”
