Once again in Europe’s elite! The 2026/27 season will see Trentino Volley once again at the starting line of the men’s Champions League, which kicks off in December, thanks to a wild card granted to the yellow-blue club by the CEV.
This morning, the European Confederation itself officially announced Trentino Itas’s presence among the teams competing in the continent’s premier tournament. For the fifteenth time in its history, Trento will participate in the most prestigious European club competition, having won it four times, the last time in 2024.
“We are particularly pleased that the CEV has allowed us to be back at the starting line of the Champions League, a competition for which we failed to qualify on the field last season, partly due to a long series of injuries suffered by our team,” smiled President Marcello Poli. “The wild card makes us proud; it represents further confirmation of how highly regarded our club is at the international level and how the presence of Trentino Volley brings prestige to any competition it participates in. We have recently finished building a highly valuable roster with many alternatives, hoping to be able to compete in a European competition again, so as to once again raise our colors and those of Italian volleyball. We are happy to be able to offer this wonderful showcase to our sponsors and our fans, who have never failed to support us, even in A difficult period like the one we’ve been through over the last twelve months. Participation in the 2027 CEV Champions League is especially for them.”
