Over the past two years with Siena and Pineto, he’s played at a high level, winning several trophies (Coppa Italia and Supercoppa) and coming close to promotion to the Superleague (semifinal against Siena and final against Pineto). Now he’s aiming for success with Essence Hotels Fano.

Stefano Trillini, born in 1999 and from the Marche region, is a new Virtus player and, along with Alessandro Tondo, will form a formidable central defender pairing.

Trillini has a winning resume: “But I still need to win the playoffs,” smiles the Marche native. “I’m still hungry. I’m sure we’ll do very well in Fano, and the fans will support us.”

The reasons behind Stefano Trillini’s choice to Fano are clear: “It’s an ambitious club,” continues the new Virtus defender, “and a top-notch roster. I wanted new motivation, and I’m sure I’ve found it here. Fano is also part of the region where I was born, and this is something I shouldn’t overlook.”

The Essence Hotels center back was presented at the Acquolina in Fano, in the presence of numerous fans who had gathered to welcome him: “I know Fano as a city,” Trillini concluded. “It’s a great place to be. I can only say I’m thrilled to begin this new journey.”
