Allianz Milano will play tomorrow, Thursday, March 12th, at 6:00 PM, against Turkish side Altekma SK Izmir for the second leg of the 2026 Challenge Cup semifinals. The Milanese team will only need to win two sets to secure a spot in the final two-legged tie of the third European competition, thanks to their 3-0 victory seven days ago in the first leg at the Allianz Cloud.

Coach Roberto Piazza will be without Francesco Recine, who was injured in the first leg and underwent tendon repair surgery due to a ruptured left Achilles tendon. Izmir can count on former Taranto and Monza player Lawani, the team’s top scorer in last week’s match, as well as former Verona player Ewert.

The opponent for the team that will reach the final is still uncertain: in the other semifinal, Belgian team Lindemans Aalst only prevailed in a tie-break in a hard-fought match against Slovakian team Slovan Bratislava.

Reggers and his teammates will take to the court aiming to redeem themselves after losing Game 1 of the Credem Banca Playoffs against Rana Verona and will try to deliver a strong performance that would allow them to return to the final of the trophy they already won in the 2020/21 season.
