After the victory in Campobasso, the Domotek Volley spiker discusses his recovery, the season, and Sunday’s match against his former teammates Stufano and Soncini. “The first-leg result stings us; it will be a very important match.”

The away victory in Campobasso was doubly special for Domotek Volley. Not only for the three points earned on a “very difficult” court, but also because it marked Enrico Zappoli’s return to the court. The Brazilian spiker, after a forced layoff, is finally back contributing to the Amaranto cause.

“Finally back on the court, a solid victory in Campobasso, not a foregone conclusion,” Zappoli began with a relieved smile. The match, in fact, was no walk in the park: “It was really complicated, especially after we lost the third set. We might have expected a drop in performance, but instead we managed to bounce back immediately in the fourth set and won 3-1, fortunately.”
