Cuneo Volley, after the confirmation of coach Matteo Battocchio at the helm of the team in the Superleague, is going to structure the rest of the technical staff to face the newly promoted season in the best possible way and with the right strength. The Club thanks and wishes the best for future projects to Matteo Morando, second coach of last season, whose work was impeccable and very important in achieving the results obtained.
Two Assistant coaches alongside Battocchio, Mauro Rizzo and Fabio Genre, for an all-Piedmontese bench that will be officially presented on Wednesday 25 June at 7:00 pm in the press conference organized on the Cuvage Terrace of the Da Costa restaurant at the Country Club of Cuneo, in partnership with Energia Pulita Nord Ovest.
Following (around 7:30 pm) the aperitif on the terrace with the Cuneo Volley technical staff, with active reservation HERE (10€ with a drink included).
Let’s get to know them better through their experiences and their professional path: Mauro Rizzo took his first steps in the world of volleyball in his Turin, where since 2007 he has been an assistant coach in the Piedmont Regional Selection and in the two-year period 2021-2023 he became Coach. In the meantime many years at Artivolley di Collegno, the blue experience in 2020 and 2021 with the Under 20 men’s national team alongside Julio Velasco and Angiolino Frigoni which led to the European silver and world gold and finally the historic promotion from B to A3 at the helm of Acqui Terme in 2023.
