Joy Volley is pleased to announce the arrival in red and white of Vincenzo Utro, libero born in 1996, who will make his debut in Serie A in the 2025/2026 season. Born in Palermo, but adopted by Puglia, Utro represents a very valuable addition to the second line of the team led by coach Passaro.
Coming off an excellent season with the Elle Group Altamura jersey, in Serie C, which ended with participation in the promotion playoffs, Vincenzo has distinguished himself in recent years as one of the most reliable and consistent profiles in the category, also wearing the Indeco Molfetta jersey in Serie B. His arrival in Gioia del Colle is the result of silent but determined work by the management, capable of beating the competition of several Serie B clubs.
His first words as a Joy Volley player convey enthusiasm and motivation: «Gioia’s call was a great surprise: some trains don’t pass twice. I want to live up to it, I want to show that I can defend this very important shirt. Making my debut in Serie A is a dream, which perhaps I had put in a drawer at 28. It is a difficult championship, but I feel I can learn a lot from my teammates and I will put myself completely at the service of the team”.
