From confirmations to new faces. It’s time to start getting serious for Monge-Gerbaudo Savigliano, which is pleased to announce the first addition in view of the next season of Serie A3 Credem Banca.
It is Giacomo Guiotto, a spiker born in 2007. More than a novelty, in Giacomo’s case, however, it would be more appropriate to speak of a welcome return or, better, a “promotion”. Guiotto, a native of Savigliano, is, in fact, a product of the white-blue youth system: “My first contact with volleyball came almost by chance, when in elementary school I won a voucher during a school tournament and started with the then Mini-volleyball. From there, I began my journey in the youth sector, until becoming a player and captain of the Under 17 in 2023/24”.
From there, the “leap” to the big boys. After a first call-up with the first team, at the time coached by Lorenzo Simeon (February 2024), Giacomo, in fact, in the last season gained experience in Serie C, with the jersey of Rs Volley Racconigi. Now, the return home, to enroll in the now rich list of products of the Saviglianese “cantera” who have landed in the first team.
