Modena Volley’s first practice of the 2025/2026 season took place this morning at PalaPanini. The aerobic portion of the training will continue at the Polisportiva Saliceta and in the pool at the David Lloyd in Modena.

Attending this morning, under the direction of coach Giuliani and his staff, were liberos Filippo Federici and Luke Christopher Perry, spiker Jacopo Massari, and middle blocker Luca Tauletta, as well as several players from the yellow-blue Serie B: setter Gabriele Spina, opposite hitter Charles Ajayi, spikers Gabriele Gatti and Rodolfo Bonavolta, and middle blockers Valerio Arletti and Alessandro Balatri.

“We’re starting the season with a small number of players,” Giuliani says, “but I want to take this as a good sign because it means we have players playing for their respective national teams, and therefore they’re high-quality athletes. We’ll have to work on every aspect, starting with defense, with the two liberos available, and improving our reception skills to help our new setter as well. In this regard, we’re happy to have brought him to Modena. We want to start a new journey with Tizi-Oualou, with the hope and goal of achieving great results. The lineup? The best team will play, obviously taking into account the rules between Italians and foreigners. Bento? He’s a very tall player who receives well, which is an important trait. I hope he goes to the World Cup with Brazil.
