Belluno Volley scores its first win of the preseason. After two tough tests against a superior opponent in Prata di Pordenone and a Solomonic draw in Trebaseleghe, the white-and-blues—actually in fuchsia—return to the home court at the VHV Arena. And, against Personal Time San Donà di Piave, they win four out of four sets. Furthermore, they find Alexander Berger in top form: having overcome the minor back problem that had advised extreme caution in the previous three outings, the Austrian returns to the taraflex with his usual class and seven points, capped by a block. Former great Stefano Giannotti, meanwhile, scores 16 groundballs, capable of attacking with a solid 65 percent. Corrado (13) is no exception, as are Loglisci and libero Hoffer, who are impeccable in reception (both 80 percent in the fundamentals).

HUNGRY – The home team immediately revs up. And, thanks to a hungry Berger, they quickly break away to a 5-1 lead, while captain Marsili stings on serve. San Donà tries to get back in the game with a winner from Salvador (12-11), but Marzola’s boys immediately regain control of the match. And they make a strong statement at the block, particularly with Basso (two in a row for one of the former players) and the usual Berger.
