SAV Trebaseleghe held their third-to-last joint practice before their Serie A3 debut. This time, they were at home, hosting Belluno, a veteran team in the division, already fiercely pursuing promotion to Serie A2 in recent years, a goal they narrowly missed.
The “Dolomite cousins” gave Silvolley a boost, winning the first two sets of the friendly match but falling behind in the third and fourth. Coach Daldello is still experimenting with his combinations, especially alternating the spikers, in search of the best mix.
But the most exciting event of the afternoon was undoubtedly the tribute the city of Trebaseleghe paid to its favorite, the prodigal son who passed through the Philippines and Civitanova, the best libero and world champion, Fabio Balaso.
Before the home team’s training session, the mayor and deputy mayor themselves celebrated the exploits of the Trebaselense idol amidst a cheering crowd, who had gathered in large numbers not only to applaud… but also to collect selfies and autographs.
