The final act is written. Everything will be played out in Game 3, Sunday at 7:00 PM at PalaCalafiore. Domotek Reggio Calabria and Belluno will face off for one big goal: promotion to Serie A2. After the away loss in Game 2, the Amaranto team is in the mood for a showdown. Sergio Vandir Dal Pozzo, assistant coach of Domotek under coach Antonio Polimeni, speaks out. And he does so with heart and determination.
The away defeat hasn’t dampened their determination; on the contrary, Dal Pozzo describes the moment bluntly: “How are you? So, after this away defeat, we’re back and already in the gym. We’re working with Sunday in mind. Everything we’ve been waiting for up until now has come to fruition on Sunday at our gym.” These words sound like a warning: the season will be decided in a match, on home soil.

The assistant coach doesn’t hide. Game 2 was a two-faced match, and there’s a lot of disappointment. “What kind of match was it? Well, we started well, eh? We knew Belluno is a great team. They started the first set off strong, but we overcame our opponents and won the first set with a good block and solid defense.” Then, however, came a setback. “We were right there in the second set,” Dalpozzo continued, “and we put them in trouble, we were up 14-11. After that, they managed to get out of a very tricky situation, and the set ended 29-27, very tight.” That’s when something broke. “Unfortunately, our team dropped off, eh? Mentally, we weren’t able to maintain the same approach as in the first and second set. Unfortunately, that’s how it was. And now we’re thinking about Sunday.”
