Atlantide Pallavolo Brescia continues to build its roster ahead of the 2026/27 season and adds an international addition to the spikers’ department: Francisco Iribarne, a Spanish spiker born in 1998, will wear the white-and-blue jersey. He is a well-rounded, technically accomplished European-experienced player.
Standing 201 centimeters tall and originally from Almeria, Iribarne arrives in Brescia after a career built at some of the most important European clubs, including experience with the Spanish national team. A modern player, gifted with physicality, elevation, and solid back-row skills, he is a spiker capable of combining offensive power and balance in both phases of play, ensuring consistency and reliability even in the most critical moments of the match.
His sporting development began in Spain with CyL Palencia, then continued in Melilla and with a long stint at Unicaja Costa de Almería, one of the most important clubs in Spanish volleyball, where he achieved notable results and gained experience at the international level. He subsequently played for Club Voleibol Guaguas, a historic team from the Canary Islands, before gaining experience abroad with Helios Grizzlys Giesen in Germany and Greenyard Maaseik in Belgium. This career path reflects an athlete accustomed to competing in competitive leagues and highly ambitious settings.
Iribarne’s arrival brings international experience, technical quality, and additional depth to Brescia, a group that continues to take shape with the goal of playing a brilliant championship next season.
Francisco Iribarne’s comments: “I chose Brescia because from the very first moment I sensed the club’s ambition and great professionalism. I believe this is the right place to continue growing, improving, and competing at a high level. Everyone knows that Italy is the country of volleyball, and this is something that fascinates me greatly. I’m really excited to begin this new experience; I can’t wait to start working with the team and meeting all the fans.”
