This morning in the municipality headquarter in Casarano the Final Four of the Tim Cup A2 has been presented with a press conference.
The speeches of the authorities.

Massimo Righi, managing director of the Lega Pallavolo Serie A:
“The city of Casarano and Donato Bruno, president of the Salento d’amare, are to thank if the Final Four is coming here to Salento. Puglia is a very important region for Volley, with four high-level teams and a widening environment. The four teams taking part to the final represent the best that Serie A2 can express. Taranto is the team that mostly is likely to win the trophy, it could play in A1, but in such matches nothing is obvious. To win the Tim Cup seems even to bring luck, for until now 6 teams on 8 which won the trophy got to A1 at the end of the season”.

Donato Bruno, Salento d’amare Taviano’s president and member of the Lega Pallavolo Serie A council:
“I want to thank the town and the district of Lecce for helping us in the organization of the Tim Cup A2’s Final Four. I feel now as never before all the love of the Salento for sport converging on our team. We are very glad to be in Casarano, even because here is where William Ingrosso, after whom our Palasport is named, was at home; he was born in Taviano and major of Casarano, before tragic events took him away from his family and from us all. If he could be here today, he would be glad of this all. I hope we will see a nice Final Four, and that all our guests, athletes and crew of the teams, can feel good in our wonderful Salento”.

Remigio Venuti, Major of Casarano
“I want to greet in my name and in the name of the whole town all the guests that will reach our city for this event. A event we are very glad to host, because for us the Final Four is not only a big sport event, but even a good chance of promoting our land, not only the town but the whole area. So we are very glad to host it and I want to welcome the four teams that from tomorrow on will fight for the trophy”.

Carlo Potaccio, vice-major of Taviano:
“Salento d’amare is a huge reality for the whole area. In the last years it was able to build up a strong image of itself, both for sport and for society. It is the pride of the town and I hope, if I may, that it can get good results during this event. Taviano deserves this occasion and I’m sure it can be the starting point for more important targets, which I think the team can easily reach, both for their technical organizatory skills”.
