It was a positive debut for the Italian teams involved in European Cups. After the three wins in the champions league from Trento, Piacenza and Macerata, it was Treviso and Cuneo’s turn to make their European debut yesterday.
In the Challenge Cup, Treviso had the better of the Isrelian team of Maccabi Tel Aviv in four sets.
In the first round first leg of the Cev Cup, however, Cuneo had to surrender at the tie-break, beaten by Cannes. The second round of the Champions League as well as the return legs of Cev Cup and Challenge Cup are scheduled for next week.
