All the Italian teams came out winners of their respective European games. On Tuesday, Piacenza and Trentino obtained important victories in the Champions League, respectively home against the Netherlanders of Apeldoorn and away at Beauvais, France. The celebrations continued on Wednesday with Macerata having the better of Roaselare (Bel).
Cuneo and Treviso qualified for the next round of their European Cups. In the Cev Cup, Silvano Prandi’s team went through to the 8th of final thanks to a Golden Set win in Cannes, France. In the Challenge Cup, Treviso beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 3-1 to go through to the next round, where it has been drawn against Poland’s Olsztyn.
