Olio Pignatelli Isernia:
The first three points for coach Giacobbe’s men came along not so much thanks to technique and tactic but more with heart and sheer determination. It had the better of Città di Castello, who had the better start, but could not handle its nerve later on. Besides, the home team proved more organised.

Antonio GIACOBBE (coach Olio Pignatelli Isernia): “We came out a bit tense, which made it easier considering their characteristics. Then we found composure and took advantage of situations that came our way”.

Andrea RADICI (Coach Gherardi Cartoedit Città di Castello): “We got off to a good start as they were struggling, but they got back in it quick and we got nervous, all the more so when the refs took off us a couple of points. Still, Isernia deserved the win as it did a good job of taking advantage of our difficulty in the fourth set”.
