EUROPEAN CUPS

RETURN GAMES

On Wednesday, five Italian teams will play in Europe. In the Champions league (th final return leg, Trentino will play at home against Maiorca, needing just one set to go through to the quarters thank to their first leg sweep. Same mission for Macerata but away from home in istambul against Fenerbahce.

On the other hand, Piacenza will have to come out with the goods against Czestochowa, who had snatched a tie-break win in italy. Finalist of the competition last year, Meoni and co will need a breakthrough to keep their hope of a repeat alive. If Piacenza was to win 3-0 or 3-1, it would go through but a tie-break victory would only force the Golden set.

Still on Wednesday, Cuneo and treviso are playing in the Cev Cup. Both are fighting to go through to the Final Four, which will take place on the 21st and 22nd of March. Cuneo is confident and likely to qualify thanks to their first leg win but treviso will have to win as it could only grab a tie-break victory in the first leg.
