It all ended bitterly for Cuneo in the Cev Cup semi final. Prandi’s team had the right attitude as the game started. It played composed and with determination in a first tight set and then controlled things more easily in the second. However, trailed 2-0, Panathinaikos, who finished top of the Greek regular season, reacted. Supported by a fantastic crowd, it dominated the third 25-15 and forced a tie-break by taking the fourth 25-20.Wijmans and co just couldn’t get back in it, overwhelmed by the home side in the last set too. Amongst the winners, two ex players of the Italian league had a good performance: Renaud Herpe and Andrija Geric.

Cuneo will be back on court tomorrow against Almeria for third place.
