The game that had thrilled the crowd in Forli just three months ago in the Cup final will meet again in a final but this time for a place in the A1. The first between Latina and Gioia del Colle is on Wednesday night. Latina has a couple of advantage: psychological thanks to its Cup triumph and the court advantage as it finished fourth of the regular season and Gioia fifth. However, Gioia is eager not to repeat the mistakes made in the Cup final.
On route to the final, Ricci’s boys knocked out Crema in the quarters then Bassano in the semi final. Gioia del Colle had the better of Isernia before getting rid of Roma, both times in game 3.
This game will put face to face the two best strikers of the A2 league: Fabricio Dias (152 points, 36 in semi final game 1 against Roma) and Leondino Giombini with 108 points.
