Perugia managed to put an end to a series of three consecutive losses with a good team performance. Vibo Valentia stayed in it for a while but in the end it appeared distracted. This was Perugia’s first live on Rai Tv. Perugia won in four sets, losing the second. Savani was the great architect of this win and was named MVP with 26 points and 64% in attack. At the beginning of the game, the crowd also took part in the Stand Up initiative against poverty and climitical changes.

Matej Cernic (RPA-LuigiBacchi.it Perugia): “In the last three days, we looked at each others in the eyes and talked. This team that faced Verona was not the real Perugia and we wanted to show that tonight. As you can see, our chat had a positive effect, we obtained our first three-point victory”.

Ivan Marquez (Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia): “We knew Perugia was going through a tough patch, but that it was a strong team anyway. We prepared the game well but they did a good job. Let’s keep improving hoping to qualify for the Italian Cup”.
