Serie A1 TIM 8a giornata

YOGA FORLì – LUBE BANCA MARCHE MACERATA 0-3 (18-25, 20-25, 18-25) –

YOGA FORLì: Mengozzi 2, Coscione, Carrol 12, Popp 5, Stancu 6, Ainsworth 4, De Pandis (L), Casadei 1, Kolev 1. Dnp Bianchi, Gjorgiev, Da Massa Nicola, Bacci. Cooach. Molducci Piero.

LUBE BANCA MARCHE MACERATA: Lebl 5, Raymaekers 1, Cisolla 16, Vermiglio 3, Smerilli (L), Martino 11, Omrcen 13, Podrascanin 7. Dnp Corsano, Paparoni, Bartoletti, Fantin, Monopoli. Coach. De Giorgi Ferdinando.

Still without Maric, Forli had a go at it in the first and third, in which it showed its best volleyball. The players standing out were Carroll and Ainsworth, who has been playing middleblocker for two weeks. Cisolla was the most inspired for Macerata.

Manuel Coscione (Yoga Forlì): “We’re getting a little bit better. We did better things compared to the game against Piacenza. We have to take one game at a time and play hard on every point”.

Fefè De Giorgi (Lube Banca Marche Macerata): “The team started where they left off against Piacenza, playing with consistency. The boys did well to react in the difficult moments”.

ESSE-TI CARILO LORETO – ITAS DIATEC TRENTINO 0-3 (15-25, 21-25, 24-26) –

ESSE-TI CARILO LORETO: De Angelo Freitas 8, Marra (L), Marzola, Dolfo 9, Visentin 2, Vigilante 14, Belcecchi, Cester 8, Shumov 8. Dnp Paoli. Coach. Moretti Luca.

ITAS DIATEC TRENTINO: Kaziyski 11, Birarelli 1, Portuondo Juantorena 9, Vieira De Oliveira 3, Vissotto Neves 14, Sala 8, Sokolov 3, Corsini 11, Herpe 1, Bari (L). Dnp Gallosti, Zygadlo, Fedrizzi. Coach. Stoytchev Radostin.

Trento won it but Loreto might not deserve the 3-0 scoreline. Without Van Dijk and Diachkov, involved in a traffic accident on Friday morning, credit to Loreto for playing face to face in the second and third set, both lost right at the death”.

Cristian Vigilante (Esse-ti Carilo Loreto): “We played against a fantastic team, but we deserved a set for the way we faced the last set, for the attitude and the capacity to react after the difficult week we have passed. We’ll keep working hard in the gym and play the next games with the same fighting spirit and determination we have seen tonight”.

Andrea Sala (Itas Diatec Trentino): “Loreto started off a bit tense, and that made it easy for us in the first set. But then, their daring attitude forced us to use our main strengths like the serve and the block in order to seal it in the third. A victory with maximum margin away from home is always nice, even if we’ll have to work some more to get in top form”.

ANDREOLI LATINA – COPRATLANTIDE PIACENZA 1-3 (25-22, 20-25, 18-25, 23-25) –

ANDREOLI LATINA: Van Den Dries, Gitto 7, Giovi (L), Snippe 6, Nikic 16, Fabroni 2, Vujevic 5, Spairani 10, Giombini 15. Dnp Cortina, Saitta, Sambucci Riccardo. Coach. Ricci Daniele.

COPRATLANTIDE PIACENZA: Rak 11, Meoni 2, Marshall 20, Grassano, Boninfante, Zlatanov 21, Durante (L), Bravo 4, Oivanen, Urnaut 5, Bjelica 12. Dnp Mazza, Sequeira. Coach. Lorenzetti Angelo.

Good volleyball was expected at the Pala Bianchini and good volleyball it was. Piacenza took all three points but Latina was far from humiliated. It played face to face against the Italian champs. Many changes were made by both coaches, who tried anything to win it. Piacenza clinched it 3-1 and joins Modena in second place, while Latina remains stuck with 6 points in the table.

Daniele Ricci (Andreoli Latina): “The team played better than the other games, but what matters is that we did not take any points. I think we showed some good things, I can’t criticize my players much today, which was not the case on Wednesday in Monza. We’ll have to work our socks off, it will be tough, I think today’s game can give us the courage to find our way up”.

Hristo Zlatanov (Copratlantide Piacenza): “They made it difficult for us but we did well to correct a situation that was not going well against a Latina team that played audaciously in every area of the game”.

ARAN CUCINE ABRUZZO PINETO – RPA-LUIGIBACCHI.IT PERUGIA 1-3 (25-23, 21-25, 15-25, 17-25) –

ARAN CUCINE ABRUZZO PINETO: Ravellino 8, Perez Moreno, Roberts 4, Modica, Lampariello (L), Henrique 3, Sborgia 1, Di Franco 2, Perazzolo 11, Ereu 13, Gradinarov 13. Dnp Armeti, Centorame. Coach. Brutti Alessandro.

RPA-LUIGIBACCHI.IT PERUGIA: Savani 14, Cernic 14, Nemec, Botti 9, Ogurcak, Sintini 4, Pippi (L), Stokr 20, Bovolenta 15. Dnp Fanuli, Hubner, Bucaioni, Lo Bianco. Coach. Sartoretti Andrea.

The game at the PalaMagetti ended on a 3-1 score in favour of Perugia. The first set was dominated by Pineto, excellent in every department of the game. However, in the end the class and experience of Perugia came out and it took all three points as it completely outplayed Pineto in the third and fourth set”.

Alessandro Brutti (Aran Cucine Abruzzo Pineto): “There is nothing to do: if we want to win against strong teams like Perugia, we have to play always and everyone at 110%: Today, we managed to do so only in the first set. But we have to keep thinking positive and believe in it”.

Andrea Sartoretti (RPA LuigiBacchi.it Perugia): “We are improving and we proved it today: We played poorly in the first set, then we ran off and controlled the game without much worries. Let’s keep climbing up the league table”.

PRISMA TARANTO – ACQUA PARADISO MONZA 0-3 (19-25, 23-25, 20-25) –

PRISMA TARANTO: De Oliveira 11, Ricciardello (L), Candellaro 3, Cozzi 13, Moretti 1, Suxho 3, Westphal 5, Rodrigo Pinto, Abbadi 11. Dnp Montagna, Gasbarro Andrea, Spescha, Quartarone. Coach. Montagnani Paolo.

ACQUA PARADISO MONZA: Rauwerdink 11, Forni 4, Molteni 6, Buti 13, Travica 3, Gavotto 14, Exiga (L). Dnp Pesenti, Sivula, Krumins, Tuominen, Haldane, De Luca. Coach. Berruto Mauro.

An always menacing serve, oppressive blocks and a reactive dig were the weapons used by Monza to come back from Taranto’s PalaMazzola with its first away win of the season. The hosts were struck by bad luck at the beginning of the game as outside hitter Rivaldo had to come out injured. However, 16 mistakes on the serve in three sets are too many to maintain a good rhythm.

Paolo Cozzi (Prisma Taranto) : “Rivaldo’s injury made it tough for us and Elia’s absence makes itself noticed too. It’s very hard to play without two starters, and one that usually scores bags of points. Despite this situation, we managed not to lose it and play decently. Obviously, there were too many mistakes on the serve and at the net. Before the game I was convinced we would have won it”.

Simone Buti (Acqua Paradiso Monza): “The game changed with Rivaldo’s injury. We did a good job of taking advantage of their mistakes, especially from the serve. The key moment of the game was in the second set when we did well to catch them up. I am happy with my performance and with the understanding we have with Travica, who never cease to improve”.

MARMI LANZA VERONA – TONNO CALLIPO VIBO VALENTIA 3-1 (23-25, 25-16, 29-27, 25-21) –

MARMI LANZA VERONA: Latelli (L), Groppi, Sottile 1, Della Lunga 11, Lasko 19, Kovar, Curti 5, Holt 5, Galabinov, Colaci (L), Kromm 24, Howard 9. Dnp Peslac. Coach. Bagnoli Bruno.

TONNO CALLIPO VIBO VALENTIA: Contreras 11, Gonzalez 7, Corvetta, Marquez 15, Andrae 11, Saraceni 6, Moltò 1, Simeonov 1, Tencati 8, Barone 6, Cicola (L). Dnp Ferraro, Cannistrà. Coach. Uriarte Jon.

Thanks to a good team performance, Verona took maximum points in front of its fans, who responded with great enthusiasm. Uriarte’s boys played a fast-pace game in the first set with Marquez, top scorer of his team, but then Verona stepped up, fought hard even when it trailed by 4 in the third. Lasko was man of the match with 19 points, of which 3 aces.

Michael Lasko (Marmi Lanza Verona): “Their serve was impressive in the first set, but then we performed equally well and were on top. The key to the game was at the end of the third set when we managed to come back. I really liked the attitude of the team, ready to fight when in trouble”.

Jon Uriarte (Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia): “We started off well even though we already made a couple of mistakes in the first set. In the second set, Verona’s serve was fantastic. Towards the end of the game, some of our players faded, the guys had played with great energy and intensity. The players have had very little time to improve as individuals. Verona had a good game, they gained confidence thanks to their serve and could then express a good volleyball”.
