“We totally deserved the two points gained against Gioia del Colle – said sport director Michele Rota – We started off very strong, it was tough to keep such a high level of play during the whole game and after the firt two sets, Gioia’s reaction logically came. And they won the third set with ease. Unfortunately, the fourth set was decided on a fortuitous event (the serve bounced on the net and died in the Blues court just a few centimetres from the net), it could have gone differently: but that’s part of volleyball too, it’s not the first time that such thing change the course of a game, it happened in the past in our favour too”.
