Taranto add size at the net

Taranto never cease to surprise on the market. It knows what it wants, with clear targets, players able to provide guarantees. The latest signing for coach Montagnani is paolo Cozzi, 29-year-old middleblocker from Milan (200cm tall). Promoted in A1 with Asystel Milan in 2000, he had helped his team finish second of the league, right behind…Taranto. He went to the league final the following season, only to lose against Treviso. He moved to Modena in 2003 and won the Cev Cup in 2004. He than gathered an Italian cup with Cuneo before stopping at Piacenza, where he made the league final twice in a row. Last year, he headed south for the first time, signing for Vibo Valentia. Italian international, he won the European Championships 2003 and 2005.
