One of the main protagonists of last season and a crowd favourite, Willy Padura Diaz had his contract extended for the coming season. Diaz made the starting line up as the league had already started to make up for Sandro Fabbiani’s injury and he then turned out to be one of the best surprises of the season. Born in 1986, the Cuban will be Micheal Olieman’s reserve at the outside hitter position in 2009-10.
