“I can’t wait to get back on court” said Polish spiker Michal Winiarski. His words met his action as he returned early to Trento in order to start his rehabilitation on his shoulder. Michal had undergone surgery in July. “I’m obviously disappointed to miss out on the European Championships and the first league games but now what matters to me is to work to get back as soon as possible”.
Meanwhile, the draw of the Doha Club World Cup will take place tomorrow. Apart from the European Champions, there will also be Zamalek (African champs from Egypt), Pavakan, Asian champs from Iran), Corozal (North and central American champs from Puerto Rico), the host Doha, and the two wild cards: Belchatow (Poland) and Kazan (Russia). The competition will take place from the 3rd to the 8th of November.
