Forlì came back from the PalaMaggetti with three fundamental points in its fight to stay up. It dominated the first set as Concione (MVP) and Carroll combined very well. The beginning of the second set was tight until Pineto built a mini-break (18-15) but Forli fought straight back to tie it at 19 before pulling away and taking the second set. Pineto changed its outside hitter in the third with Perazzolo coming on for Hernandez, but it didn’t change anything. Forli was quickly ahead and was never caught back.
Roberto Fant (Aran Cucine Abruzzo Pineto): “This is a defeat that hurts because we were at home against another team fighting to stay up. I want to talk to my players immediately to understand what happened. One thing is for sure, we will keep fighting until we mathematically have a chance”.
