The voice of the few supporters that made it all the way from Castellana up north to Padova by bus (no planes because of the vulcano) are still filled with emotions. Trailed two sets to nil in the quarter-final game 2, Castellana Grotte fought back and snatched its ticket to the semi-final in the tie-break.
Mattera, (foto) BCC-NEP: “It was tough at the beginning but at the end of the second set we had a chat and told ourselves we couldn’t let the game go like that. We started to believe in it again while they were a bit out of breath. We took control of the game and I think we deserved to win one of the most exciting game I have played in”.
Castellana Grotte will meet Crema in the semi-finals.
