Sora made its first move on the market with the signing of middleblocker Marco Pavan. Born in 1982, the Brasilian arrived in Italy in 2005 to play for Loreto, with which he took part in the A2 playoffs. He then obtained his Italian passport and moved to the A1 and Taranto, where he had an excellent season, finishing 7th and making the cup semi-finals. Spoleto and Castelfidardo (relegation) were his next stop before joining Gela in the B1 (third division).
