Roma got rid of Santa Croce in straight sets in the quarter finals of the Italian A2 cup (25-19, 25-19, 25-21). The team from the capital overwhelmed the Tuscans at the net and it performed well in attack too. Santa Croce only slightly became threatening in the third set but once Roma stepped up there was little to do for the guests. Adriano Paolucci was inadvertently hit in the third set had to make way and Giulio Morelli came on.

“We played a good game although we could have done more to prepare better the next game” said Yasser Portuondo.
