Roma got rid of Bologna in two games and qualified to the league final thanks to a 3-0 victory in the capital. Giani’s men had everything under control from the word ‘go’. Roma took the first set thanks to some good work at the net, then the second set was all one-way traffic, that is, until Creus came on the serve and got Bologna back in it right at the end of it. Roma snatched the set anyway. The hosts could easily seal it in the third against a demoralised Bologna side. Portuondo was outstanding and named MVP.
