Roma got off to a good start in these playoffs. It had the better of Santa Croce 3-1 at the end of a game that might not have been especially spectacular but was certainly full of intensity. The first set was the tightest as Roma was pushed to the wire (29-27). Then, the team from the capital worked better at the net and seemed more determined (25-21). Santa Croce got back in it and also had a promising start in the fourth set. However, Postiglioni and Yosiov’s blocks got Roma back in it. The guests seemed discouraged and lost their way.
