The team had lost 3-0 last season in Genova, this time round it did pick up a set but that’s no consolation for coach Gatto.
“We obviously hoped to come out of there with a positive result after winning the first set – explained coach Gatto – Genova stepped up in the second set but in the third we were four ahead and were slowed down by Enrico Libraro’s little injury. The turning point was probably there, because Genova managed to catch up and win the set after that, with obvious psychological advantage that it led to in the fourth”.
