Born in 1974 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, setter Marcelinho signed for Treviso. The Brazilian was last in Pinheiros while he already had an experience in Italy with Palermo in 1999-2000. In Europe, he also played in Panathinaikos, Greece, from 2005 to 2008. Marcelinho won the World League and the World Cup 2007.
