The 12th edition of the Volley Market ended this morning with the presentation of the season calendar, which was live on E’TV and in streaming on Sportube.tv.

The first important news of the season is the partnership between the Italian Volleyball League and Mikasa Corporation, who will give its balls to the competition for four seasons. The Japanese company can boast over a hundred national leagues using its balls. Besides, these are the ones also used in the World League, European Cups, and in the Olympic Games 2012.

Meanwhile, the fixture list is out and the regular season will begin on October 7. The final will not be played on a single game like in the past few years with the V-Day but on the best of five games. Other novelty: in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, the best classified team at the end of the regular season will start off with a 1-0 advantage in the series.

During the calendar presentation, the newly promoted teams from the A2 (Perugia and Castellana Grotte) and from the B1 (Potenza Picena and Matera) were rewarded.
