“I want to thank everyone – said Giacomo Santini who had a stand at the Super Cup for his association which gathered 9.540 euros for cancer research at the sold out event – I want to thank each and every person for the amount we managed to gather which went way beyond our wildest dreams. Thanks to the Italian Volleyball League Serie A, to Trentino Volley and miss Iris Wintzek, and special thanks to the supporters who were at the PalaPanini arena for supporting this splendid initiative. Being back in the volleyball that matters in such a brilliant atmosphere filled me with joy and emotion. Besides, the funds we gathered helped me to sweetened the taste of the final result. I was obviously disappointed with the defeat, I really wanted to win this game. Macerata won this first battle, but we’ll be ready for the second. In the meantime, thanks again to the splendid response you gave, I’d like to give a hug to everyone”.
