Trento came back from Perugia with a 3-0 victory in a game of round 2 that had been postponed due to Trento’s participation in the World Club Championships. It’s not been easy for the world champions, especially in the second and third set. Juantorena MVP.
Slobodan Kovac (coach Sir Safety Perugia): “At times, we have seen the kind of style of play we’d like to express in the future. We have defended well and put in the effort in dig, but Trento has brilliant players who can hit the winner anytime. I think we lacked a little confidence at times. You always have to be at 100% against them, but it’s true we have to get used to play at this level”.
Vieira De Oliveira Raphael (Itas Diatec Trentino): “We really wanted this three crucial points for us. Perugia played well and made it hard for us. I am especially happy with the fact that our understanding on court is improving day after day”.
