2013 CEV Champions League

The deal is already done for Trentino, Cuneo and Macerata, ready to take their pass to the next phase and wait for the playoffs 12 draw to come on Thursday December 13 in Luxemburg. Among the qualified team, the CEV will decide who will host the Final Four this season as the team selected will go directly through to the semi-finals. Macerata will need a point to secure first place against Asse-Lennik as Ljubljana is threatening just two points behind. Trentino has a six-point advantage on the second and has nothing to play for in Belgrade against Crvena Zvezda, bottom of the group with no point. Same situation for Cuneo, who took maximum point so far. The Italians will host Remat Zalau (Romania), who only has a point to show for.

In the quarter-final first leg, Latina defeated the Austrians of AICH/DOB but will need the second leg away too in Bleiburg to go through. If it was to lose there would be a golden set to 15. The four winners will go through to the Challenge Round in which they will meet the three best third as well as the second left of the Champions League main phase.
