The joint training session with Piacenza has definitely been positive despite the fact that Piacenza won 3 sets to 1. Coach Lorenzetti gathered useful information as his side faced one of the top teams of the league. Modena was without Latvian outside hitter Celitans and Beligium spiker Deroo. The starting line-up was setter Baranowicz, outside hitter Casadei, spikers Molteni and Kooy, middle blockers Sala and Vesely, and Manià libero.
“We started off tense – said coach Lorenzetti – It was as if the boys felt the game like it was the official league debut. In the first set we struggled on the serve and in reception then we loosened up and we saw much better volleyball”.
