Second and last mid-week round in the A2 this season on Wednesday 30:
Sidigas Atripalda – Tonazzo Padova. Back with a smile with a tie-break win in Ortona after three consecutive defeats, Atripalda plays host to Padova, which came back within 4 points of Atripalda thanks to 3 wins in the last 4 games.
Conad Reggio Emilia – Globo Banca Popolare del Frusinate Sora. More than one target for Sora, which will want to take revenge on the loss conceded in the first leg against Reggio and get back on track after two consecutive defeats. Besides, it will try to get back to the second place lost to Molfetta last weekend. Reggio is coming off a defeat against Brolo.
Gherardi SVI Città di Castello – Caffè Aiello Corigliano. Nobody managed to slow down Città di Castello so far, still undefeated after the big game in Sora which extended their lead at the top to ten points. Rested last weekend, Corigliano will try to make the breakthrough.
Coserplast Matera – Vero Volley Monza. Monza realised a perfect second half of season so far, which took them to fourth place. As for Matera, they’re desperate for points as they are tied at the bottom with Loreto but will try to take advantage of the fact that the latter will be rested this weekend.
B-Chem Golden Plast Potenza Picena – Elettrosud Brolo. Brolo made a big step towards salvation with a win over Reggio Emilia last week as newcomer Pereyra scored 26 in his debut game. Potenza will fight to take points and get away from the bottom two, Loreto and Matera.
Exprivia Molfetta – Sieco Service Ortona. Molfetta caught up Sora last week and took second place thanks to a come-back win over Loreto. Cichello’s boys will defend this second spot as they host Ortona, which is coming off three consecutive tie-breaks that lead the team to 8th position.
