A determined Macerata team overcame Latina in three sets and qualified for the Linkem Cup playoffs semi-finals in which they will face Piacenza. A huge 18 blocks (Savani had 6) and 7 aces made the difference. MVP Ivan Zaytsev


 


Ivan Zaytsev (Cucine Lube Banca Marche Macerata): “We blocked them all over the net…I am extremely happy, now we’ll focus on the Piacenza series we’ll have in a week. Hopefully we’ll go all the way”.


 


Jeroen Rauwerdink (Andreoli Latina): “We have been blocked a lot today, we did not play well in attack. We could have done better. These playoffs reflect well our season in which we have played in the Cev Cup too. Our biggest disappointment is not to have finished off Macerata on Sunday”.
