Trentino resumed where it had left off before the break. It dominated the Turkish side of Izmir 3-0 to keep a hundred percent record on top of Pool D. This was a convincing performance played at a high level from the whole team in attack (51%). Solé was key in the two tightest set, the first and third, and deservedly took the MVP award. Sokolov was top scorer with 17 points and some clutch plays in the second set.

Roberto Serniotti (coach Trentino Diatec): “These are three important points, which get us very close to the Playoffs 12, at least as second of the group. As I had said on the eve of the game, Izmir improved its game since the first encounter and they proved it giving it a good fight in the first two sets. Still, we managed to seal it in straight sets thanks to some good work blocking and in dig, and we also handled the attack well in the difficult moments. I have seen what I wanted, especially during the tough times of the games”.
