At the end of a thrilling encounter, Atripalda came out on top at the tie-break and regained the lead in the quarter-final series 2-1. This victory obtained with great fighting spirit means the club will have a first chance to go through on Sunday when they travel to Padova. Cazzaniga and co had started poorly, quickly finding themselves 2-0 down with a mountain to climb. And even once they tied the game to 2-2, it looked as though Padova would clinch the tie-break without much difficulty as they went 6-1 up. But once again they fought back with Bassi as the x-factor.
