Castello added an important player to its roster in the name of Goran Maric. The Serbian is back in Italy after a year spent in France. Born in 1981, he landed in the Serie A in 2004 with Ancona (A2), then played for Arezzo Corigliano, Verona, Forlì, San Giustino and Castellana Grotte, where he won the Italian Cup A2. He won the European Championships 2001 with Serbia and got the bronze at the World League 2002.

“My year in France should have been a reward as I went there thrilled to take part in the Champions League but instead I had some physical problems – he explained – I talked a lot to Corvetta before deciding, I played with him for two years in Corigliano, where we obtained promotion in the A1. I talked to coach Montagnani too, and I liked him from the very beginning”.
