Ravenna stay perfect
Ravenna made it two out of two. 3-1 winner in Piacenza in the opening game, they had the better of a tough Latina side that would not surrender that easily. Kantor’s men were led once again by an outstanding Renan but the whole team did some excellent work in the blocking and dig departments. Starovic had a brilliant start for Latina but faded afterwards, while their spikers did better on the serve than in attack.
Daniele Sottile (Top Volley Latina): “We’re a bit disappointed because we played very well for the first two sets and if we had gone 2-0 up, everything could have been different. But Ravenna really played a great game”.
Waldo Kantor (coach CMC Ravenna): “We have been working really well but we need more consistency during the games. Renan was terrific in the third set. We have maximum points after two games but now comes the toughest part”.
