Ravenna had the better of Perugia on a 3-1 score. Already very convincing play from the host with Jeliazkov standing out. Cebulj and Mengozzi had excellent games in attack too, while Cester blocked 6. It has to be said that Perugia was still without De Cecco and Fromm but with Atanasijevic starting from the bench.
“Perugia is behind us in terms of preparation but they have some great players, credit to our boys for this nice team performance – said coach Kantor – I particularly liked our reaction in the fourth set after losing the previous one”.
